ECHA’s Nanopinion: Could nanotechnology be used to treat Parkinson’s disease?

ECHA’s latest Nanopinion on the effect of nanotechnology on Parkinson’s disease was published.

In Nanopinion guest column, Dr Daniel Ruiz-Molina tells how novel nanotechnological encapsulation could be used to deliver dopamine to the brain. Nano-encapsulation is being explored as a method for drug delivery, since smartly-designed nanocarriers can travel throughout the body avoiding the effect of metabolisms and release substances when the desired target is reached.
