The European Commission is reviewing the <link http: ec.europa.eu growth smes business-friendly-environment _blank>definition of an SME to ensure that it remains fit for purpose and meets its objectives in the current economic environment, and to evaluate the need for possible changes. The <link https: ec.europa.eu info consultations _blank>survey is available in all EU languages and open until 6 May.

The SME definition is relevant for European administrative exemptions and reduced fees, including reduced fees under REACH, CLP and BPR.
