The investigation report on lead and its compounds in articles supplied to the general public (restriction entry 63) is now available.

This report aims to support the Commission in their consideration to re-evaluate the restriction. The report also evaluates new scientific information on the analytical methods for measuring the release of lead, taking into account the effects of coating on articles, and on the availability of alternatives related to certain existing derogations in the entry.
