On the 14^th December 2020, the REACH&CLP Luxembourg Helpdesk put online its new annex website dedicated to persistent organic pollutants (POPs). This information was officially announced during the 2020 edition of the Helpdesk's annual conference. It was also an opportunity to inform companies that the Helpdesk is now the contact point for all questions relating to POPs regulation.

Although the issue related to POPs has been addressed for many years, particularly through the Stockholm Convention, but the publication of a European regulation (Regulation (EU) 2019/1021) in 2019 introduced the implementation of related obligations to these substances (for example, their ban or restriction). These in that sense that the Helpdesk has developed a new site in order to be able to inform companies on this subject as well as on all the evolutions relating to this regulation.

The site is currently available in English and French. The German version, as well as the content still under preparation, will be available in early 2021.
