On 23 April, a new regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POPs) (Regulation (EU) 2019/636) has been published in the Official Journal.

This new regulation amends, amongst others, the Annex IV of Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 on POPs, concerning substances subject to certain provisions concerning waste management, and adds a new substance to this list. This Regulation also amends Annex V and in particular the table in Part 2 of that Annex.
