The European Commission has published a notice to stakeholders on the withdrawal of the UK and the EU rules in the field of chemical regulations under REACH.

In fact, since 1 February 2020, the United Kingdom has withdrawn from the European Union and has become a “third country”. However, until the end of the transition period on the 31 December 2020, the EU law for chemicals applies to and in the United Kingdom. This notice explains certain rules of the withdrawal agreement where relevant as well as the rules applicable to Northern Ireland as of the end of the transition period.
