Regulation (EU) 2021/1199 amending the entry 50 of Annex XVII REACH related to polycyclic-aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) has been published.

From 10 August 2022, granules or mulches shall not be placed on the market for use or used as infill material in synthetic turf pitches or in loose form on playgrounds or in sport applications if they contain more than 20 mg/kg (0,002 % by weight) of the sum of all listed PAHs. Furthermore, they shall be marked with a unique identification number of the batch.
