On request by the Commission, ECHA has prepared and published an investigation report on the exposure and risk posed by formaldehyde to workers.

ECHA investigated uses and worker exposure to formaldehyde in different sectors and have assessed these exposures against limits values adopted by the Commission in 2019, indicating areas of potential concern and making recommendations on regulatory risk management.
