Study on unintentional release of microplastics – Register for the first stakeholders workshop

On 16 September 2021 a first stakeholder workshop will be organised by the European Commission (DG Environment) and will take place virtually.

The European Commission (DG Environment) has commissioned a study entitled ‘Cost-benefit analysis of policy measures reducing unintentional releases of microplastics’. The study aims to identify policy options that could reduce unintentional releases of microplastics in the environment. The study will support the Commission's work on a possible legislative initiative in the field.

Communication and engagement activities will both gather available information for the study and allow stakeholders to provide valuable input.
