ECHA’s Committees for Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC)and Risk Assessment (RAC) back the proposed restriction on the use of lead in ammunition for hunting, outdoor sports shooting and in fishing.

The restriction could prevent over 600.000 tonnes of lead from being released into the environment, save millions of birds from lead poisoning and protect children in hunter families.
