Beginning of October, the Commission has opened a public consultation concerning the adoption of the ECHA basic regulation proposal.

This initiative will propose a basic regulation for ECHA. It aims to:

• strengthen ECHA governance and adapt it to its future role; and
• streamline the working methods of ECHA bodies and make their financing more sustainable.

The consultation is opened until 2 December 2025.
