Reducing microplastic pollution – New EU legislation enters into force
The new EU rules to prevent microplastic pollution from plastic pellets (Regulation (EU) 2025/2365) entered into force on 16th December 2025.
As reminder, this regulation introduces a new hazard pictogram for plastic pellets that fall under the REACH restriction entry n° 78 on microplastics. This new pictogram must be included on the label, the packaging and the safety data sheets of the concerned substances.
