New common data platform on chemicals to come
In the context of the “one substance, one assessment” (OSOA) package that was decided in 2025 by the Commission, ECHA, in collaboration with other European agencies, will develop a common data platform on chemicals in 2026.
The platform will provide information from multiple sources and several services such as:
- Information Platform for chemical monitoring;
- Repository of reference values;
- Study notifications database;
- Databases on standard formats and controlled vocabularies, regulatory processes, legal obligations, chemicals in articles or products, alternatives to substances of concern, and environmental sustainability-related data.
Further information is available in ECHA’s press release.
