Report on alternatives to animal testing published

ECHA’s sixth report on the use of alternatives to testing on animals for the REACH regulation is now available on their website.

This edition, based on REACH data up to 2025, confirms that alternatives to animal testing are well established under the regulation. Registrants continue to rely on adaptations, such as read-across, waiving and QSARs, to meet the information requirements. The report also highlights ongoing efforts to promote and implement alternatives to animal testing.
