ECHA received 3511 comments on the draft opinion of the Socio-Economic Analysis Committee (SEAC) concerning the proposed restriction for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

All relevant information submitted in the consultation will be assessed to confirm or modify SEAC’s conclusions. SEAC is expected to adopt its final opinion by the end of 2026.

The opinions will be submitted to the European Commission and based on them, the Commission may propose a restriction for discussion and vote in the REACH Committee, composed of EU Member States.
