Highlights of SEAC’s June meeting

In its June meeting, ECHA’s Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) adopted several draft opinions, including on the proposed restrictions on certain chromium(VI) oxides, oxyacids and salts and on octocrilene. The draft opinions are now available and the 60-day consultations are open until 17 August 2026. 

The committee also received an update on the comments submitted on its draft opinion on the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) restriction proposal. SEAC is expected to adopt its final opinion by the end of 2026.
