ECHA's Risk Assessment Committee has reaffirmed that glyphosate should not be classified as carcinogenic, following review of new Ramazzini Institute data.

At its 8 September 2026 meeting, the Committee concluded the study does not alter its 2022 hazard assessment conclusions. The opinion accounts for public consultation feedback and June 2026 preliminary discussions. It will be published within months and shared with EFSA and the European Commission.
