Webinar on latest developments on PFAS restriction proposal
The REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg is organising a webinar on the latest development on the PFAS restriction proposal. This webinar will take place on 16 June 2026 from 10:00 to 12:00.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large group of persistent chemicals used in a wide range of industrial applications (e.g. firefighting foams, protective coatings for textile) and consumer products (e.g. On-stick cookware, waterproof and outdoor textiles). Given their extreme persistence in the environment a restriction proposal covering all PFAS was submitted to ECHA by five European Member States (DE, DK, NL, SE, NO). This restriction is expected to have significant implications for numerous sectors, from electronics and textiles to construction and chemicals manufacturing.
The REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg offers companies an opportunity to understand the current status of this restriction dossier. This webinar will provide an overview of the state of play of the restriction, including insights from the ongoing scientific evaluation. It will also offer perspectives from the dossier submitters on the scope and justification/rationale behind the proposal. It will also provide clarification on the implication for industries and supply chain as well as general overview and enforcement examples from Luxembourg.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers and the Helpdesk experts.
Public
The event is aimed at all companies manufacturing, importing, distributing, or using articles that may contain PFAS. It is also relevant for other actors across the waste management hierarchy (reuse, repair, and recycling operators) as well as stakeholders involved in the end-of-life stages and competent authorities.
