Applications for authorisation – Approach to evaluating review reports

ECHA has published a note describing how the committees for Risk Assessment (RAC) and Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) evaluate review reports. The note outlines issues that should be considered by both RAC and SEAC, as well as specific considerations related to either committee.

Authorisation holders seeking to renew their authorisations, submit a review report to ECHA if they have not found a suitable alternative chemical or technology to replace the use of their substance of very high concern.
