On its last government council, the Ministers approved and agreed on projects to amend two Grand-Ducal Regulation.

The Ministers approved the project of amendment of the Grand-Ducal regulation on the protection of the safety and health of employees against the risks associated with chemical agents at the workplace. This draft Grand-Ducal regulation aims to transpose Directive (EU) 2019/1831. Among other things, this draft provides for improving the protection of employees against exposure to dangerous chemicals at the workplace and updating the limit values which are currently found in Annex I of the modified Grand-Ducal regulation of 14 November 2016 concerning the protection of the safety and health of employees against the risks associated with chemical agents in the workplace.

The Ministers also agreed on the project of amendment of the Grand-Ducal Regulation on the protection of employees against the risks associated with carcinogens or mutagens at work. This draft Grand-Ducal regulation aims to transpose the Directive (EU) 2019/130. One of the aims of this draft is also to improve working conditions and protect the health of employees against specific risks resulting from exposure to carcinogens or mutagens.
