The European Commision has published an initiative to improve access to chemical safety for safety assessments.

This initiative aims among other to:

• improve access to chemicals data originating from public authorities, private entities or scientific literature by removing technical and administrative obstacles to that access.
• uphold the principle that data should be easily findable, available, secure, shared and re-usable.
• strengthen the use of all available data and increase transparency.
