A wide stakeholder consultation on the proposal concerning hazardous chemicals in single-use diapers will open on the 21^st of December 2020 and run to the 21^st of June 2021. ECHA’s scientific committees welcome early comments by the 1^st of February 2021 to help them in the first discussions on the proposal in March 2021.

Background: To minimise health risks to children and infants under the age of three, French authorities are proposing to restrict chemicals such as PAHs, furans, dioxins, formaldehyde and PCBs in single-use baby diapers.
