ECHA has submitted a recommendation to the European Commission to amend Authorisation List (Annex XIV of REACH) entries by adding the endocrine disrupting properties of four phthalates (after their SVHC identification was already extended accordingly):

• bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP);
• benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP);
• dibutyl phthalate (DBP) ;
• diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).

Once the Commission decides on the amendment, some previously exempted uses will require authorisation.
