The Commission is currently preparing an initiative related to the evaluation on Good Laboratory Practice Directives.

The principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) promote the quality and validity of data generated in the testing of chemicals and prevent fraudulent practices. They are consolidated in Directives 2004/9/EC and 2004/10/EC. The evaluation of these Directives will assess their effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, EU added value and coherence.

A consultation is planned for the third trimester 2024.
