As reminder the restriction on hazardous chemicals in tattoo inks and permanent make-up, introduced by the Regulation (EU) 2021/2081, will enter into force from the 4^th of January 2022.

The restriction covers, for example, chemicals that cause cancer or genetic mutations and chemicals that are toxic to reproduction as well as skin sensitisers and irritants. The regulation includes a 12-month transition period from the entry into force for the majority of substances and a 24-month transition period for pigments green 7 and blue 15.
