OECD – People willing to pay a significant amount to avoid chemicals-related health effects

The OECD has published new willingness-to-pay (WTP) values covering five health effects: infertility, chronic kidney disease, very low birth weight, asthma and IQ loss.

This OECD project, which ECHA took part in, establishes internationally comparable WTP values to measure the socio-economic benefits of reducing chemical risks. For REACH, these values are important in restrictions and applications for authorisation.
