Online session on the declaration of hazardous mixtures in Luxembourg

The REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg organise an online information session on Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation and the requirements related to the declaration of hazardous mixtures in Luxembourg. This session will be organised on the Tuesday, 10th of November 2020 from 10:00 to 12:00.

In the framework of the CLP Regulation, companies are required to declare the hazardous mixtures they place on the European market, in accordance with Article 45. Information on these hazardous mixtures must be provided to the national body responsible for for receiving information relating to emergency health response. In Luxembourg, since June 2015, the Brussels Poison Centre has been appointed as the body responsible for receiving the specific information required by Article 45 CLP for all hazardous mixtures placed on the market in Luxembourg.

In addition, in March 2017, a new regulation has been published, which is introducing a new annex to the CLP Regulation (Annex VIII) and providing more precise legal framework for the information that need to be declared and the format to be used. The first deadline for implementation of the new harmonised format is, since October 2019, the 1st of January 2021.
