The European Commission has published an implementing regulation (EU) 2021/876 simplifying applications to use authorised chemicals to produce legacy spare parts or to repair products that are no longer manufactured. The application requires a simplified format for the analysis of alternatives and socio-economic analysis. No substitution plan is needed. The application fee will also be 50 % lower than normal.
