An initiative from the Commission is under preparation concerning the update of fees and charges payable to ECHA.

This initiative aims to amend Commission Regulation 340/2008 on the fees and charges payable to ECHA. It will:

• adjust the fees in line with inflation; and
• introduce other measures to increase the sustainability of ECHA financing by reducing the administrative burden on ECHA linked to the ex post verification of the size of companies (used to determine their eligibility for SME fees and charge rebates).
