New rules to improve cooperation on chemical safety
The EU has approved Regulation (EU) 2025/2457, designed to make the assessment of chemicals safer, faster and more consistent across different sectors.
The regulation forms part of the One Substance, One Assessment (OSOA) package and aims to make chemical risk assessment more efficient by rethinking which agency does what and strengthening cooperation between them.
