The Commission adopts an EU-wide restricition on cyclosiloxanes
The European Commission adopted a restriction on siloxanes D4, D5 and D6.
The restriction will enter into force after the 6 June 2026.
This measure is done to reduce the emissions of these very persistent and very bioaccumulative substances by up to 90%. They are used in various products such as cosmetics, dry-cleaning and waxes.
