In July 2025, ECHA will change the status of Classification & Labelling (C&L) notifications which were submitted on behalf of a group of manufacturers or importers (group of MIs), to “annulled”, if the lead notifier successfully registered the same substance according to REACH.

The group of MIs can designate a new lead notifier who can take over the lead role for the notification, to avoid the annulment.

The transfer of the lead notifier can be done free of charge before July 2025 via the legal entity change functionality in REACH-IT.
