Highlights from RAC and SEAC meetings in March

The committees for risk assessment (RAC) and socio-economic analyses (SEAC) just shared the highlights of their last meetings held in March 2025.

RAC and SEAC continued evaluating the EU-wide proposal to restrict PFAS. Both committees reached provisional conclusions for applications of fluorinated gases. RAC also reached provisional conclusions for transport and energy applications. SEAC will continue discussing these topics in its June meeting.

Furthermore, RAC adopted on totally 13 opinions on harmonised classification and labelling.
